Ideally situated in this beautiful part of the National Park makes this an ideal spot for exploring on foot or by bike and offers some of the most breath-taking views. The market towns of Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale are only a short drive away with their quaint market squares overlooked by historic three-storey buildings and a vast choice of shops. Other must visits while you are in the area include the impressive Three Peaks and Malham Cove as well as the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway that enjoys inspiring scenery all along its route and the Lake District national park is less than an hour s drive. Upon arrival at this lovely cottage you will instantly feel at home. Entering the property we are in the main hallway with WC leading off at the back. The lounge is to the right boasting oak floors and a 16th century local Helwith bridge slate heath and fireplace with an AGA log burning stove. With a traditional oak beamed ceiling the spacious lounge is furnished with a Harris tweed sofa two armchairs and a church pew and two beautiful cushioned window seats that provide excellent views across the Dales to oxenbar and beyond. There is also a Smart TV perfect for a night in with a good movie. The bookshelves are stocked with plenty of games for fun evenings in. At the back is a secret door leading to a quirky bedroom with two single beds perfect for the kids or adults alike. The dining and family room is located to the left of the hall which has a snug area equipped with a two seater sofa and two armchairs. A slate hearth with electric fire is on offer. The dining table seats up to eight people for those family meals. The local slate flagged floor leads from the family dining room through a small archway to a well equipped contemporary kitchen. This modern kitchen has great visual links to the dining area and is fitted with Corian worktops glass splashbacks and NEFF appliances.
