You can walk straight to the sea from this detached holiday house. The home is just 80 metres from the Atlantic. At the same time, the home is set in the midst of forested surroundings. The owner's house is situated on the same parcel, about 5 metres from the holiday home. It is our experience that he will certainly respect your privacy. This holiday home is a very short distance from the sea and a sandy beach (just 80 metres) and is 3 km from the centre of the town of Pénestin. At low tide this is also a paradise for anyone who enjoys fish and shellfish. You will find plenty of mussels, oysters and other shellfish on the rocks in season and there are lovely tidal pools where you can catch prawns. Brittany is the westernmost region of France. Brittany is a peninsula and is predominantly rural. You won't find a lot of big cities here.

300 m from the sandy beach "La Mine d'Or", with dramatic cliffs, is your detached house in Pénestin (1 km). A great environment for hiking. This excellent holiday home is situated in a quiet villa neighbourhood. It has a lovely, enclosed garden with lots of privacy. There is no heating. When you follow the paths along the coast down south, you'll reach the bay of "Poudrantais" (including a beach). You can also walk to Haut-Pénestin (in the dunes) or Trébestan (with old streets, fountains and staircases). Penestin: supermarket, market, post office, bank, bicycle rental and horse riding. Various water sports facilities in the earlier mentioned Poudrantais (500 m). Here some great ideas for outings: Arzal (10 km) with a harbor for boating and views of Vilaine river; La Roche-Bernard (17 km), typical village with historic neighborhoods and authentic Vannes (50 km), with a cathedral, a port and a possibility to make boat trips to the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan. You will find two magnificent 18-hole golf courses in about 25 km distance: Golf de la Bretesche in Missillac and Golf de La Baule in the eponymous seaside resort.

Arzon Brittany at its purest! Holiday park Port du Crouesty is located in a natural bay and is surrounded by water. You find yourself on the Rhuys peninsula in the Gulf of Morbihan where you enjoy an exceptional mild climate. With the fabulous yacht harbour close by and a gorgeous sandy beach at 300 meters, this makes for an ideal holiday spot! Take the most wonderful walks on this 10 by 2 km peninsula; the south coast offers beautiful Atlantic beaches and the north coast has intimate little bays with phenomenal views of picturesque little harbours such as Port Navalo (3 km). In the east you will come across numerous oyster farms at the Pénerf river. After exploring the area a bit and visiting the Chateau de Suscinio (15 km) surrounded by forests and marshland, you'll understand why this was the favourite place to stay for the former Dukes of Brittany. From Port Navalo, you can take a boat trip to the island of Gavrinis where you'll be amazed by the megalithic tombs with their mysterious decorations. Authentic Breton vacation home with private swimming pool. It dates from the 19th century and sits peacefully "à la campagne" at the edge of the quiet village of Billio. From your house you can walk into the fields with nice roads, suitable for lovely bike rides through the forests and historic towns. The house is attached to another house, but both have private, fenced grounds and the needed privacy. Not far is the medieval Josselin (11 km), founded in 1008 and known for its architecture. Visit one of the famous castles of Brittany here. From the river Oust the castle is extremely photogenic and a doll museum is housed in the former stables . Fresh baguettes and croissants you can get the morning on foot at the grocery store in Billio (100 m). Groceries, tennis court and restaurant in Plumelec (4 km). A beautiful south facing villa just 200 meters from the beach, the sea and the harbor. The dining / living room is comfortably furnished and there is a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and a conservatory.
