This property is located in the eastern region of the Lake District National Park between the shores of Lake Windermere and the historic town of Kendal. Kendal makes a great destination for a day trip with several shopping arcades and some stunning architecture as well as two castles and two museums. Heading in the opposite direction visitors will come to the eastern shore of Lake Windermere and the lakeside town of Bowness which is a great place to sign up for a range of water sports or join one of the leisure craft which run up and down the lake. Located underneath Timberwolf and tucked away from the other cottages Wishbone has a wide partially covered private sun patio the front door leads into the unique architecturally designed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The dining area has seating for two and the bright kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals including an electric oven and hob dishwasher fridge/freezer microwave and washer/dryer. The cottage has its own music control pads and Bluetooth technology with integral sound systems and widescreen TV. Up three steps into the lounge area with comfy luxurious sofas and contemporary gas fire. The lounge leads into the romantic master bedroom with sumptuous super-king-size bed and en-suite with a deep bath for two TV separate monsoon shower and WC. Outside the property is a south facing partially covered private patio with garden furniture. There is also an outside shared garden with three acres of gardens including an unfenced large pond which is home to wild ducks frogs and newts as well as water-lilies and gunnera. There is off-road parking for one car. Need to know: 1 bedroom super king size. 1 en suite bathroom. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Three miles from the cottage is the village of Staveley which boasts typical Lakeland stone buildings the Rivers Kent and Gowan a beautiful church and selection of shops and inns. Also within easy reach is iconic Windermere with its literary history bustling centre and beautiful lake while Kendal offers larger stores supermarkets art galleries a theatre and cinema. Windermere and its shores are a wonderfully scenic location to enjoy a huge range of outdoor activities a well as a good network of footpaths. Activities range from leisurely boat trips to open-water swimming fell walking cycling canoeing and sailing. There is abundant birdlife and plenty of activities with stunning walks and cycle rides straight from the door. Entered via a superb patio and welcoming sun room.
