    Well stocked kitchen, it has everything you could need. Huge garden if you have a dog. Perfectly situated for visiting the local beaches and coast. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Resting on a farm estate just a few miles away from the delightful village of Warkworth in Northumberland, The Pepper Pot is an impressive barn conversion which is the ideal destination for a family holiday.

Boasting simply superb views over open countryside, The Pepper Pot offers a calm and restful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and yet is close to a wonderful range of activities and amenities.

The bright and airy sitting room has delightful wood flooring, a comfy seating area, an attractive woodburning stove and floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio door letting in loads of light and offering captivating rural views, which all add up to create a really pleasant place to sit back, relax and enjoy spending time.

The spacious kitchen is sleek and stylish and is fully fitted with everything needed to whip up delicious food.

Pull up a stool at the breakfast island, pour yourself a drink and keep the designated chef company.

Adjoining the kitchen, is an elegant dining area with a rustic dining table and chairs all set up ready to host long, sociable meals together.

Outside, there are extensive gardens to the rear which are just perfect for children (and any pets!) to run around safely while the adults can relax on the patio area and enjoy spending time alfresco.

After all that fresh air, it’s time for bed so make your way to any of three wonderfully appointed super-king-size bedrooms, where you can sink into sumptuous beds and look forward to a relaxing sleep.

As well as miles and miles of stunning countryside to walk and hike through, the charming coastal village of Warkworth is close by, which is known for being home to the dramatic ruins of a 12th century castle.

Its link to the past continues with the village’s selection of antique shops and galleries and it also has a beach and a golf course.

Attractions in the area worth visiting include Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands and Alnwick Gardens.

Other beaches nearby worth packing a bucket and spade for include Alnmouth, Cresswell, Embleton and Newton Haven.

WARKWORTH

Alnwick 5 miles; Alnmouth 3 miles; Amble 1 mile.

Lying in the loop of the River Coquet on the Heritage Coast, Warkworth is a picturesque village, dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The history of the village and the castle are intertwined with the Percy Family who took over the castle in 1332. The Percys’ other home is nearby Alnwick Castle, most recently associated with Harry Potter as the film location of Hogwarts School. The main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses and there is an exceptional range of galleries, antiques shops, a village shop/Post Office, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to suit all tastes. Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a 9 hole pay and play golf course. Also within easy touring distance are Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands, several wonderful beaches and Alnwick Garden with its remarkable water cascade and Tree House Restaurant.
