• "The apartment was fantastic."

  We loved the large open plan design. Everything you could want was provided. Would definitely book again Only small issue was parking. The neighbouring parking slots tended to park too far over making it impossible to use our allocated space on occasions.

I am in full agreement with you regarding other driver's inability to park properly. the problem seems to be so many large cars these days compared to when the parking bays were marked out initially. I hope you managed, sometimes you just have to park adjacent to the bottom hedge, where there is room fit people to reverse out. Property Owner

• "Ocean Blue was the perfect base for us in Cornwall."

  It's a wonderfully clean, spacious, and comfortable apartment which has everything you need to make coming home to it each day an absolute joy. Praa Sands is a wonderful place to spend time in itself, but is also wonderfully located to explore Western Cornwall with so many must see destinations, from picturesque towns and villages to amazing beaches, just a few minutes drive away. Contact with everyone involved was always quick, professional, and friendly and the whole experience from start to finish was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Ocean Blue on every level - it's a great value for money base in a lovely location. It's highly likely that we'll be returning one day. Thank you Ocean Blue!

• "Property is fantastic just one comment the rugs slip and slide on a wooden floor my wife slipped on rug in lounge and banged her leg but was lucky not to fall we lifted rugs and put out of the way during stay and put back when leaving but would suggest getting rugs or mats with rubber underside so dont slip as could cause bad accident."

  Also light in ensuite [pullcord] kept getting stuck apart from these small issues property is perfect and reasonably priced and beds very comfortable thankyou for a lovely stay

• "Ideal location."

  Close to the beach and handy local amenities. Apartment was immaculate, cosy and comfortable, and well supplied for anyone's needs. Good communications with the housekeeper and meeting the owner made us feel welcome. Balcony ideal for sitting outside with a seaview and the very welcome tea and biscuits on arrival, We were blessed with glorious sunshine so made plenty of use of use of the outside space. Lovely community feeling here and had long chats with some of the residents. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return.

• "Had a lovely week, weather was in our favour, apartment was very well equipped, apartment nice and warm, but could not open window at night due to ground floor, would have had a better view if you stayed on the second floor, bed very comfortable."

  Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We always sleep with a window open and had not considered that others may be concerned about security at night. Therefore we have fitted window restrictors to all the windows, to enable them to be left open at night. We also agree the sea view would be more expansive from the top floor, although this apartment is perfect for those with mobility problems, as no risk of lift malfunction. Property Owner

• "Thank you for a beautiful stay in Praa, a long time favourite for our Family which goes back over 4o years."

  Ocean Blue was presented as advertised with a wonderful array of creature comforts and every appliance required to become a MasterChef. It was very clean (Thank you Rhona), very comfortable and convenient to the world class beach. We were also blessed with great weather to make the setting even more enjoyable. Small point, surprised that there were no power points for shavers or tooth brushes- or none that we found. Key safe refused to open to code on departure but we coped. In sum, an idyllic stay and we probably will return ere long.

  Thank you for your feedback, we will look into the socket in the bathroom. There are adaptors in the drawer in lounge. Not sure why the ke key safe suddenly did not work, salty sea air ?sure Not sure why the key safe have you a problem Property Owner

• "Pro’s: ideal position, near beach."

  Roomy patio to sit and sea watch. Bed v.comfortable. Well equipped kitchen(. Perhaps a bit too much, definately a cooks kitchen). Comfortable temperature. All on one level. Near Penzance and Helston for shopping. Cons: minute en suite, couldnt use. No extractor in bathroom for steam, smells etc, had to leave door permanently wedged open. Opening windows in bedroom were side window only, so not too safe to leave open all night as on groun d floor, but had to,as so stuffy. No welcome pack, just small milk, bottle wine. Literature in prop states “tea, coffee, milk, sugar and bread. J cloth, sponge washing up liquid ( no washing up bowl), dishwasher tablets, roll bin liners. There is also a complimentary welcome pack of Cornish produce and bottle of wine for you to enjoy” One other irritation: no cupboard space left in kitchen cupboards for groceries, tins etc????? All full of stuff. In all , a bit disappointing, as it would have been perfect for less able bodied people, as all on one level, but the bathroom shower was over a very difficult to get in bath. I have the bruises to show for it after manoeuvring around taps! Arthritic legs don't bend or go climbing very well, this is where the walk in en suite was going to be more useful to us, but is was incredibly tiny. The rooms were all roomy, so we could not understand this tiny shower, which at best would possibly accommodate a child! I must say this was our first Sykes property rental, and Ill probably never hear the end of the missing wellcome pack and Cornish cream tea, from my other half as he was told before we went from regular renters of yours that there would be cream tea waiting!

  Thank you so much for your well-considered and lengthy review. I am glad to hear that you found the beds comfortable and the location suitable. I would just like to respond to some of the misunderstandings. Firstly, we do not advertise a cream tea and have never provided cream tea as part of the welcome pack, especially as there is wonderful café about 200 yards around the corner who do an excellent, authentic Cornish cream tea. I do understand that the bathrooms are not set up for people with disabilities, the architect constructed the second shower room in the main bedroom to maximise space in what is a two bedroomed apartment. The second shower room is probably more valuable to families with young children. Our housekeeper, provides her contact number and is always on hand to deal with any enquiries you may have had during your stay. Property Owner

  The property was very clean and very well equipped - briefing documentation was clear and excellent. Good area to dry clothes and wetsuits etc and a nice balcony to sit on, and eat in the evening. We had a great week and this property was the icing on the cake.

• "We took our two grandchildren away for Easter we didn’t like the holiday we LOVED it!"

  Everything about the apartment was good and very clean, beautiful flowers, welcome bottle of cava. Excellent Communication with Rona. Very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, good bathrooms, nice patio. The owners thought of everything and more, chairs for the beach, wind breaker even a cool box. Very short walk to beach , beautiful coastal walks. Frequent buses.

  Well equipped kitchen with everything you would need for a large family. Washing machine & dryer came in handy as we had some wet weather so could wash dry our clothes. We were made so welcome by Rhonda and Tony fresh flowers wine milk tea coffee ready for our arrival much appreciated.we stayed for two weeks Rhona came our second week with fresh towels tea towels for us. Our apartment was immaculately clean we would like to thank Rhona and Tony for looking after us...we would definitely stay in this apartment again when in Praa Sands..

• "We were very impressed with the  modern and  spacious  flat which  was immaculately clean."

  There is a good view of the sea from the large and sunny terrace, which had the benefit of being partially covered and with a stretch of wall which would give shade or shelter if required. The beds are very comfortable, and  there is enough equipment to cater for a large banquet. We received  welcome gifts of  flowers, biscuits, fudge, milk and Prosecco which is always a good start. A lot of thought had also gone into providing a folder with plenty of information about the flat, and the local area.  On our second day I sent a text with a query and the manager replied immediately so excellent service.Only negative comment is that the en suite is quite cramped but not an issue since there is a spacious bathroom.
